Dames Talk: How to Make Food Sound Good…Literally
A Conversation with NPR’s Here and Now Resident Chef Kathy Gunst and SF Dame Linda Carucci

Did you know that National Public Radio's Here and Now program has a Resident Chef? Kathy Gunst has held this fascinating role for more than 20 years. Hosted by Boston’s WBUR radio as part of their popular Here and Now program, and broadcast nationally, she creates compelling segments on food-related topics that range from clever uses for Thanksgiving leftovers to nifty outdoor grilling techniques – all without the benefit of a single visual image.

In a lively, one-hour conversation, SF Dame Linda Carucci, chef, cookbook author and award-winning cooking teacher, will explore the world of food radio and journalism with Kathy. She’ll also ask about Kathy’s work as an award-winning writer for the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post among other outlets and as the author of 16 books including Rage Baking: The Transformative Power of Flour, Fury, and Women’s Voices. There will be time for Q&A, too.

The session will be recorded and shared with all registrants. Proceeds benefit the LDEI-SF Female Entrepreneur Grant and Mentorship Awards Program.
